I’m Amitai.
Most call me Tai.

A guide, a father, and the hill I call home.

My work begins
with the land.

I am a licensed Israeli guide, a husband and a father of three. My home is a farm in Natur, on the southern Golan Heights.

I guide people from the shore of the Galilee into the Golan and on to Jerusalem. I write about the places we walk, and the people and passages we meet there.

Time to linger.

I do not believe the land is a backdrop to the Bible. I believe the land is the Bible, still standing.

I do not rush across this land. I linger, I listen, I learn. The longer I live here, the more certain I am that the Book was never meant only to be read. It was meant to be walked, and prayed, and lived.

A home in Natur.

The farm, the journeys and the writing are parts of the same life. This website brings them together, so you can follow whichever path speaks to you.
